Needlepoint Finishing Class - Irregular Shapes
- Duration: 2-1/2 hours
- Summary: Learn to finish an irregularly shaped ornament in this interactive class. Use glue-free and acid-free techniques, ensuring the longevity of your needlework for years to come. We recommend you have experience finishing round ornaments but beginners are also welcome! Attendees, upon registering, please email a photo of your canvas and a ruler in frame to finishingfairy@gmail.com to be sure you're ready for class. You will receive blocking information before class begins.
- Bring: Bring your canvas, a photocopy of your canvas, and a non-stretchy backing fabric (measured 1 inch larger on each side). If you'd like to bring your own matching DMC Pearle 5 or sparkle threads (Kreinik, Radiance, or Silk Lame all work great), please do so. A large variety of colors will be provided on-site.
| Materials Included: | Each participant kit includes a color printed reference guide, and all materials needed (excluding a cording maker and scissors), in a high-quality, reusable vinyl zip-top bag. 2 sheets of Acid Free 4 Ply Matboard. 2 layers of cotton batting. 2 skeins of white floss for cording. 1 card of lacing thread. A length of 6-lb fishing line. Needles. Printed color reference guide. |
