| Skill Details: | My teaching philosophy is to work with your mistakes so that you keep going and keep trying. I too had a love hate relationship with ribbon work. In a fun and casual setting, I share the tips & tricks that I discovered that helped me rip out less, have better secured stitches, and kept me wanting to experiment and learn more. Many of the flowers I design are made of simple ribbon techniques, but with layering and experimentation, even basic stitches can become a variety of different blooms paired with just the right embellishments and materials to make them special. |

For the last 24 years, I have worked in the advertising world, working with home décor and lifestyle retailers, educating on trends & what to buy for their demographic markets, bringing products and lifestyles to life behind the scenes with photographers, stylists and designers. My stitching is designed through a lens of balance, a place that draws you in, movement and texture to keep you engaged and always fabulous colour. My stitch guides are laid out in a clear and organized manner so that you can easily absorb the information and take it one step at a time! My passion and knowledge for flowers comes from years of corporate floral design. Every seasonal piece I design is researched to make each flower as authentic as possible. |
